Three complete, 60 Hz gas-fired power plant units between 30 and 200 MWe can be auctioned on October 8., 2020

[Oct. 2020] In the Middle East, an online auction of these three units with a total capacity of around 330 MW will take place on October 8th; the units can be purchased individually or as a complete plant.

All gas turbine units are oil-fired, were commissioned in the later 1970s and are designed for feeding into a public 60 Hz grid. Unit 1, built in 1975, consists of 5x 41 MW Hitachi Frame 7 GT Gen-Sets, each with approximately 196,000 hours of operation and 2,600 starts. Units 2 and 3 are from 1978 and comprise of 2x 15 MW Hitachi Frame 5 GT Gen-Sets with approx. 86,000 operating hours and 4x 25 MW ABB 5 GT Gen-Sets with approx. 120,000 operating hours.

All units have been in operation until end of 2016 and were used as medium or peak load power producers. Further, all technical equipment was periodically maintained as per OEM requirements by experts of the OEM and of other major international service companies.
